“Esieba’s” is our FCI protected kennel name, which has a very personal meaning: our son calls his cuddly toy, which we christened bunnies, “Esie” (he could not yet say bunny) and his upholstery, a self-sewn unique piece of his aunt, “Ba “. Before sleeping, he always asks for “Esieba”, he combines the words and he must love both incredibly. We find this name so full of imagination and allowed ourselves to give our kennel this unique name, behind which there is also a story.
We, by the way, are my husband, our two children and me. Our home is located about 15 minutes northeast of Vienna, in the beautiful Weinviertel.
I have been in contact with animals since childhood. Growing up in Vienna, my dear mom refused me any wish regarding a pet; from hamsters, guinea pigs, mice, rats, cats and my dearest Frankie, our first dog.
My passion: dogs
When we visited little Frankie for the first time at the age of 4 weeks, at Resi’s breeder, I knew immediately that I really wanted to breed. Frankie was everything for me, at 14 I was finally able to assert myself with my parents regarding a dog and so in April 2006 our Entlebuch Sennenhund moved in. We had Frankie examined for all breed-specific diseases and based on the excellent results we decided to make him available for breeding. My interest in exhibitions started with Frankie and Frankie was also very successful, although it is not always easy with an Entlebucher in the ring. He covered for the first time on New Year’s Eve 2009/2010 and his first puppies were born in early March. Breeders from the Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, the Netherlands and Switzerland came to us. I think Frankie has exactly the right number of offspring, because it is important that a male does not cover too often. My boy was everything for me, he accompanied me throughout my youth and when he died on March 18, 2019 at the age of 13, he went with him so much more than just a dog.
After a long thought about which dog might suit us, because the Entlebucher was too temperamental for us, we decided on the Golden Retriever.
So Sun moved to us in December 2016. Sun is so level-headed, so tender and uncomplicated – the total contrast to the Entlebuchers and German Shepherds. Our bitch is fabulous, exemplary in dealing with children. It doesn’t secate our cats and doesn’t break anything. Sun loves to play, dig and eat, but also cuddle.
After a long baby break and thinking – should we, shouldn’t we? – we started spontaneously in spring 2019 to have our golden retriever bitch “Sun” examined. First on HD: A, elbows: free and shoulders: free, then eyes: free and I also really liked the first exhibition – yes and then came the essence test, which we passed with 93 out of 99 points.
Finally, on December 5, 2019, Esieba’s A-litter was born. Sun gave birth to 9 puppies instinctively and without complications, I am still impressed and also very grateful that it was so wonderful. “My” first dog birth is one of the most beautiful experiences of my life and I hope that many more puppies will be born in Esieba’s kennel.
Our puppy room
Our goal is to breed healthy, robust and type-rich golden retrievers. The matings should not reduce the gene pool, but represent a complementary couple and of course the health results of the parents are chosen as best as possible.
Our puppies grow up in our house. You will learn about everyday noises: vacuum cleaners, dishwashers, clearing and arranging dishes, doorbell, lawn mower, hair dryer, …
After a few weeks, our cats also get to know the puppies, which means that every puppy gets used to cats.
Our two children and their friends ensure that our puppy knows children right from the start, but they know how to properly handle a dog. After a few weeks you will also explore our garden more and more often, where some play equipment, such as a balance board, is set up.
The small Esiebas grow up in the country, where we have the opportunity to get to know different animals (geese, chickens, pigs, horses, …) and are used to everyday situations: driving, strollers, bicycles, umbrellas, …
Our treasures are only awarded with a protection and purchase contract. At the time of delivery, our dogs are vaccinated, chipped and dewormed. The puppies are given to selected families who are also ready to do the breed-specific tests after one year. The puppy is selected so that it fits the family’s living environment well.
Since our puppies are very popular, we ask you to contact us in good time.
